AcreScout Customer Information
Customer information is not sold or distributed to third parties. AcreScout does use customer information (such as contact information and email addresses) to send AcreScout news, real estate opportunities, notices, and reminders to individual customers.

Credit Card Transactions
All credit card transactions are processed by a third party, not owned by AcreScout. A secure authorization service was chosen for its added security and reliability. Only purchase price, the credit card information, and billing address provided by the customer is supplied to the third party. Information collected during transactions is maintained in a secure database for accounting and billing purposes.

Website Log Files
Website log files are generated by collecting the IP Address of the visitor, date, time, and pages visited. Aggregate reports for website visitors are generated but do not contain personally identifiable information. Advertising reports are generated that show the IP addresses of visitors who clicked on ads. This information may be sent to the advertiser to confirm the number of "clicks" per advertisement. The advertiser normally already has this information as a result of the user clicking on the advertisement. No additional information about the visitor is supplied to the advertiser at any time.

Cookies
Internet cookies are used for demonstration purposes. Persistent cookies are placed on the user's system for the demonstration pages. These cookies remain on the user's system and are automatically retrieved when a user visits at a later time. A user does not have to supply any personal information unless they decide to complete an order and pay via credit card. These cookies are not used for any other purpose.

No Third Party Downloads
No Images, files, or cookies are downloaded from third party servers. This means no banner networks or hidden "web bugs" (images of size 1x1 pixel used to track users) are used in affiliation with AcreScout.

External Linking
The logging of clicks for external links using "redirects" is only done for advertisements. This is done to create the advertising reports described above in order to bill the advertiser.

Mailing Lists
AcreScout may maintain subscription mailing lists. All users must confirm their subscriptions via return email.

User Registration
AcreScout requires user registration to access content on the AcreScout website and to have the ability to search listings, add listings, and use of the AcreScout widget.
